These young women are not merely individuals; they are the torchbearers of societal evolution and progress. These girls have immense potential to shape the future and drive positive change within their communities and beyond.
Our programs and initiatives are designed to help unlock their capabilities, nurture their talents, and provide them with the tools and resources they need to thrive. By doing so, we not only uplift individual lives but also contribute to the overall development and progress of society.
Leadership Training
In order to help these young girls grasp the concept of autonomy and embrace their role as beacons of change, it is important to inform them about Leadership, its need, importance, and functions.
Our training empowers young girls with leadership skills by introducing them to different leadership styles and the qualities of effective leaders. They learn about SEWA as a movement, its history, structure, and programs, along with the Gandhian principles it follows. Additionally, they gain insights into organising practices at SEWA, fostering their understanding of autonomy and change-making.
Life Skills Training
One of our core objectives is to empower young girls with the awareness, understanding, and skills to prepare them for success in today’s dynamic world.
This is done through:
ICT Training
This is an important step towards bridging the digital divide. It equips adolescents with skills that are increasingly essential in today’s technology-driven world.
Skill Development Training
Skill development centres called Kaushalya Kendras offer diverse training ranging from computer literacy to vocational skills like jewellery design, fashion, and beauty care, hospitality and catering etc.
These centres are not just about skill acquisition; they are hubs of empowerment where traditional knowledge is merged with contemporary skills, opening new livelihood avenues for these young women.
The periodic evaluation and certification by IASEW enhance the credibility of the training received, boosting trainee’s employment prospects and confidence. This transformation from students to skilled professionals enables them to contribute to the community and economy.
We also create inclusive spaces for sharing and networking, aiming to bridge the generational gap and facilitate mutual learning between the young and the old. On these platforms, individuals from different age groups come together, exchange perspectives, and share their knowledge and experiences.
